Weld County Grinder
Welcome to the 2026 Weld County Grinder—held in the small (but mighty) town of Nunn, Colorado. This is a true gravel rodeo set in the Pawnee National Grasslands.

No Registration Fee or payment to ride is required.
We are accepting “pay what you can” contributions to cover event costs.
This ride is unsupported, unmarked, and a no-SAG ride.
This is an no-SAG, unmarked, unsupported gravel ride held on public roads in the Pawnee National Grasslands.
By participating, you acknowledge that you are 100% responsible for your own safety, navigation, and decisions, including your ability to complete the route or arrange extraction if needed. Do not attempt this ride without the route downloaded to your device.
(1) There are no course markings will be provided.
(2) There are sag vehicles on the course.
(3) Cell service will likely be limited or unavailable.
(4) Weather conditions will likely change without notice.

A real gravel rodeo across the National Pawnee Grasslands, through rural Weld County, Colorado
Distance: 67 miles
Terrain: 99.9% gravel
Elevation Gain: ~2,400 ft
We Want You to Have a Safe Ride.
This route is all gravel, and includes long, exposed sections — come prepared.
We highly recommend that you:
run tubeless tires with fresh sealant
download the route before rollout. Cell service is spotty at best.
consider unpredictability of weather and wind. Weather and wind changes quickly with out notice on the plains. Plan accordingly.
Event Schedule.
Rider arrival and check-in: 6:30 AM
Submit a signed release as your ticket to ride. All releases will be signed in person at registration this year.
Mandatory Rider Meeting: 7:45 AM
Rollout: 8:00 AM sharp
Route ends where we started with post ride food and beverage. We stay until the last rider returns.
There are 3 mandatory check points for all participating riders.
(1) Check-in is required before rollout.
(2) All riders must check-in at the Aid Station on the route.
(3) At the end of the ride with the registration team. If you leave the route early, please notify:

We are Accepting Nominal Donations
We welcome “pay-what-you’re-able” nominal donations to cover the Mile 42 aid station, post event activity food and drink, and to defray the ongoing cost of communication tools like this one used to coordinate this annual grassroots event.
